About sangit sushama
The Sangit Sushama was founded in 1983 by Minati Helbig and has been based in Heidelberg's old town ever since. It was taught by the Indian meditation teacher and Inspired by Sri Chinmoy.
At first, instruments from all over the worldwere sold, later she also added flute to selling instruments.
Over the years the team has grown to five teachers. In the music studio Sangit Sushama you can now take guitar lessons, ukulele lessons, piano lessons, violin lessons, and harmonium lessons. We have been in Plöck 85 since January 2014 and have focused on music lessons. Our sales range consists of instruments that we also teach: guitar, ukulele & Indian harmonium.
Translated into English, Sangit Sushama means "The Beauty of Music".

Minati Helbig - Founder
Main Instrument: The Flute
Minati Helbig founded Sangit Sushama in 1983 in Heidelberg.
She started with selling musical instruments and gave flute lessons, first local and later on teaching abroad. She had over 30 years of domestic and international entrepreneurial and
executive experience spanning the technical development of playing, commercialization, business and operations.

Bartika C. Sumann
Main Instrument: The Guitar
Bartika C. Sumann`s career has centered on the international development of
creative enterprises. She joined Minati Helbig 2006 in building up a Music School,
teaching the main instruments the guitar, the piano, the violin and later on also
the ukulele.

Tarika Hawkes
Main Instrument: The Violin
Tarika Hawkes was working in Sangit Sushama from the beginning and
one of the founders of the music school
Tarika started playing violin at age 6. Later on she also took piano lessons,
ear and voice-training. She participated in various choirs and orchestras
and gathered valuable experiences playing in ensembles.
She is also a manager and offers her service for the finacial department of
the music school.

Ankurika Hammerl
Intrument: The Piano
Spent her career working on her music skills since the age of 6. She was accepted at the University of Music and Performing Arts "Mozarteum" in Salzburg, where she studied the violin with Prof. Lösch and Prof. Höller for 4 years. She took many opportunites to perform with different orchestras, for example
the "Mozarteum Jugend Orchester" at the 'Salzburger Festspielhaus'.
At age 11 she passed the exam "Bronzenes Leistungsabzeichen" in piano with distinction. Later on she also took up the guitar.
Kaloll S. Linke - Teacher
Main Instrument: The Guitar
Kallol has been conected to music his whole life. He started his music
education as a child in a choir in Heidelberg and soon discovered his favortite instrument, the guitar. He learned different styles on the guitar, including pop, classic and Spanish Guitar. He played guitar and percussion in a Swiss-German music group for many years. In 2014 he joined the Sangit Sushama Team and teaches the guitar and the uukelele.
